Mr Rakesh Kucheria is a highly-experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee replacements and revision surgery in the London area. Mr Kucheria is renowned for pioneering simultaneous double-knee replacement surgery and robotic assisted surgery, resulting in a quicker, safer operation and a much faster recovery time for patients. He performs more than 350 hip and knee replacements (including primary and revision surgery) each year in both his NHS and private practices, which according to the National Joint Registry places him in the top few percent of UK surgeons. Other areas of specialist interest include reconstruction after trauma, soft tissue injuries and acute back problems.

Mr Kucheria originally graduated from University of Dehli in 1990 before moving to the UK to pursue training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and the Royal London Hospital. Since 2003, Mr Kucheria has been an orthopaedic consultant at Heatherwood and Wexham Park hospitals, now part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. He has been regularly recognised by the Trust with Clinical Excellence Awards. In addition, he leads the enhanced recovery programme in both his NHS and private practices. He is now the GIRFT lead for hips and knees in the Trust.

More recently in his experience, Mr Kucheria has been performing robotic-assisted surgical procedures; he has accomplished more than 200 of these successfully. One of the robotic-assistants that has revolutionised the way he works is the Mako® Robotic arm, which allows joint replacement surgeries to be done with more accuracy using each individual patient's unique specific diagnosis and anatomy. Professor Robert MacLaren is a consultant ophthalmologist at Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital, as well as at the renowned Oxford Eye Hospital. He also holds the position of Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Oxford in the UK. He specialises in cataract surgery, retinal surgery, retinal diseases and genetic eye disorders.

In relation to his roles in the NHS, he trains ophthalmologists in retinal surgery and cataract surgery. His previous research has optimised biometric calculations for cataract surgery in extremely long and short eyes. He is experienced in the implantation of all varieties of intraocular lenses used in cataract surgery.  These include toric lenses, extended depth of focus lenses, multifocal lenses and in rare cases black diaphragm lenses. Internationally he trains surgeons in retinal gene therapy surgery and he has led many operations in the USA and across Europe.
 
In addition to his roles at Oxford, he holds the position of Honorary Professor of Ophthalmology at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and served as an honorary consultant vitreoretinal surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital. With a reputation for excellence and dedication to advancing the field of ophthalmology, he has been recognised as an NIHR Senior Investigator and NHS Gold Clinical Excellence Award. Professor MacLaren's contributions to the medical community are commendable, and his numerous fellowships are a testament to his expertise and commitment to the profession.
 
Professor MacLaren is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and he is one of only a handful of UK ophthalmologists also to be a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.Furthermore, he served as the former King James IV Professor of Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His academic achievements have been recognised through his election as a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, as well as being appointed as a Bodley Fellow of Merton College Oxford.

Mr Shahab Siddiqi is a well-regarded consultant surgeon based in Essex, who specialises in colorectal surgery and pelvic floor surgery. He treats a variety of conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), enteric dysmotility, and pruritis (itchy bottom), and is one of the UK's leading experts in using advanced robotic-assisted surgery for the treatment of colorectal diseases. He has led the development of the advanced robotic surgery facility at Broomfield Hospital since 2011. He also introduced new and innovative treatments for bowel incontinence and constipation, and has both surgical and medical clinical interests, including the management of pelvic floor disorders, pelvic pain, irritable bowel syndrome, whole gut motility disorders, functional bowel disorders, and pruritus ani.

Mr Siddiqi qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1993, before completing specialist training in general and colorectal surgery at the North Thames Deanery. He also undertook a pelvic floor fellowship at Castle Hill Hospital, Hull and a laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. His research into methods to improve detection of the spread of colorectal cancer to the lymph glands using genetic techniques at the Royal London Hospital earned him an MD from the University of London in 2008.

Mr Siddiqi now serves as the lead surgeon for pelvic floor surgery in the Department of General Surgery, also practising privately at Springfield Hospital. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University and is still involved in a number of research projects. He is currently using his expertise in robotic surgery to help develop new surgical treatment methods for other colorectal diseases, like rectal cancer.

Mr Tafazal's work involves treating patients identified through symptomatic and screening services, and he has experience in the use of implants for reconstruction. He has used a variety of smooth, textured and polyurethane-coated implants. He also uses biological meshes for implant-based reconstruction and offers patients both sub-pectoral and pre-pectoral breast reconstruction.
 
He has introduced the use of a complete dermal sling for implant-based breast reconstruction, which omits the use of biological meshes in certain cases and the Goldilocks procedure, which allows for reconstruction using the patients' own mastectomy skin flap.

Mr Tafazal has been trained in lipomodelling and uses this in addition to other reconstructive techniques. He has performed a number of breast reconstructions using the LD reconstruction technique where patients' own tissue and muscle are used.
 
Mr Tafazal's clinical research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Osuji was instrumental in setting up a collaborative MDT service, encompassing three NHS trusts and five hospital sites. Notably, she initiated the introduction of video conferencing services during that time. She led numerous successful peer reviews of the haemato-oncology MDT and chemotherapy services and was instrumental in implementing electronic chemotherapy prescribing.

Since 2015, Dr Osuji has assumed extensive executive NHS leadership and continues to provide clinical care at Nuffield Parkside Hospital. Her commitment to patients and her outstanding contributions have made her highly esteemed in her field.
